Asisat Oshoala, a striker for the Super Falcons, has taken issue with blogger Tunde Ednut for disparaging Super Eagles player Alex Iwobi after Nigeria’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final 2-1 loss to Ivory Coast.
Ednut’s insensitive caption, “Iwobi is out, Thank you Lord…”, sparked outrage among fans and fellow players. Oshoala, expressing her displeasure, condemned Ednut’s actions and labeled him a “bully.”
In a series of passionate Instagram posts, the former Barcelona star called Ednut out, stating, “Tunde is an asshole! Boys give am money to do giveaway, he dey form god. Continuing her critique, Oshoala addressed Ednut’s tendency to body shame women and accused him of being a bully. She emphasized the impact of cyberbullying, revealing her personal experience, and expressed frustration at being singled out when the whole team had lost.
